to Blay, “The world has to stop the minute a white woman cries.” You don’t care because you’ve been trained not to perceive black women as real persons, even if we may be screaming and rolling around on the ground while we cry.
Long seemed to relate to the author’s and activist’s remarks of how Black women’s sentiments aren’t given as much thought and consideration. With a question mark “@celtics, where was this level of awareness a year ago?” she captioned the photo.

One year following her public revelation of Udoka’s infidelity, the celebrity criticized the basketball team. Udoka and Long had been engaged since 2015. The Celtics announced in September 2022 that Udoka had been suspended for engaging in a sexual relationship with a member of the staff.

Long said to the Hollywood Reporter that the “Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public” following their breakup in December.

In addition, she stated, “I apologize, but no one from the Celtics organization has called to check on me or my kids. If you’re in the business of protecting women—I’m sorry.” This has really upset me.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Long mentioned the woman who had an affair with Udoka the previous year. That name will not appear in print in The Times.

“We appreciate @yabablay’s willingness to speak the truth to us.” “This is such an important conversation that needs to be heard and understood,” Long stated in her own video. Comedian Luenell, musician Snoop Dogg, and TV host Shaunie Handerson all expressed their support for Long in separate comments.
