A man who lost half his body in a forklift accident three years ago is reflecting with his wife on his progress. Loren Schauers and his wife, Sabia Schauers-Reiche, shared a YouTube video on Tuesday about how their lives changed after his September 27, 2019 forklift accident.

The duo compiled 13 hours of footage into the 57-minute clip. The film tracks 19-year-old Loren’s rehabilitation after hemicorporectomy in 2019. He claimed a 2.5-hour trip to work.
After liking Loren, the employer gave him many assignments. My company demanded that I fetch the forklift, transfer it over, and reset the water barrier. I was never taught to drive a forklift.” Loren’s accident seemed trivial to Sabia. Later, she realised he needed surgery. “He lost blood supply to his legs,” she was told after four hours.

“They couldn’t save his pelvis, and they didn’t know how.” A hemicorporectomy rescued him. His arm was also cut. Loren’s health crises and rehab and physical therapy adjustments were documented in videos by the couple.
“Everyone wants to see the world from Loren’s viewpoint, but nobody wants to be in Loren’s position,” Loren said in a 2020 interview. Sabia filmed Loren’s wounds, dressing, and wheelchair transfer. She reiterated that their film is not a guidance and that she is not a doctor.

In 2020, Sabia revealed that the pair had moved to a larger apartment, allowing Loren to dedicate a room to gaming. “We’re alone more,” she said. Finally, Loren confessed he had a bionic arm.
The prosthetic arm restores finger mobility. Loren’s fingers can move independently.” Sabia then admitted to seeing bionic limb ads online and begged her viewers to recognise the maker so Loren could have one.
“The lost arm made me cry. “If you’ve earned this arm,” she said. Loren anticipated “I can hold your hand and travel down the street with you.” experience, not just assume they do.” They exhibited February 2021 wedding photos.

The couple’s last upload, made this year after moving into their new property, concludes the video. Loren and Sabia ended the video by thanking their YouTube and TokTok subscribers. “It’s been a long and exciting trip, and we can’t wait to see where life takes us.”
