Ike Jr. was found to be in possession of 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and less than a gram of methamphetamine by the police during the stop. He apparently tried to eat the pills before the authorities could seize them in a frantic bid to disguise them.
In addition, Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, a passenger in the vehicle, is charged with drug possession.

Ike Jr. was unable to post his $70,000 bail, thus he has been detained in the Brazoria County Jail for a month.

The father of Ike Jr., Ike Turner Sr., had a well-known history of substance abuse. Ike Sr., who was married to Tina Turner from 1962 to 1978, was arrested several times for drug offenses and even spent time in jail. In December 2007, at the age of 76, he overdosed on cocaine and died.

After

years of health problems, including a kidney donation from her husband Erwin Bach in April 2017, Tina Turner passed away on May 24. She left behind a complicated legacy.
