Music legend Cher recently answered a question that many of her admirers have been asking her: why does she like to date younger men? She specifically mentioned the nearly 40-year-old man she is currently seeing. The 77-year-old, who is renowned for her unreserved attitude, didn’t hold back when talking about the romantic things that bring her joy.
Cher revealed that she was once too nervous to turn down the renowned Elvis Presley and that she is often “shy…around men” when she isn’t working. She has however continued to enjoy a vibrant dating life with younger lovers in spite of this.
During the interview, Cher came clean and said, “I got with young men for that reason.” Men my age or older used to be afraid to approach me; of course, now that they’re all deceased, that fear no longer exists. And the only men that did that were younger ones.
Regarding the audacity of younger guys, Cher concurred with J. Hud that this is because they had been “raised by women like me.” The Grammy-winning performer is obviously drawn to the bravery and self-assurance of her younger suitors.
Cher is currently seeing Alexander “AE” Edwards, a music executive and producer who is supposedly 38 years old. Since 2022, the couple has been together, and they don’t seem to be slowing down. Cher, who is 78 in May, talked warmly of her relationship with AE, calling him a “beautiful man” with whom she is having the “best time.”

“No matter what happens, I love being with him,” Alexander “AE” Edwards said in the media. We had a good time, and he makes me giggle. I’ve discovered that there is always time. You would conclude that this was doomed if you listed all the statistics. However, if it had only been a year, it would have been worthwhile. We have been together for a year. I’ve had an amazing experience, Cher remarked.
They appeared to be in a committed relationship, as evidenced by their almost simultaneous appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
