Tia Mowry met her now-ex-husband Cory Hardrict on the Hollywood Horror set, where they first met. After six years of dating, on Christmas Day of 2006, they announced their engagement. Cree, their first child, was born in 2011 after she wed Hardrict in 2008. In 2018, Mowry and Hardrict welcomed a daughter, Cairo, following the birth of their son. The Tia & Tamera actress declared in October 2022 that she and Hardrict were no longer together. Their final divorce was finalised in April 2023.

The divorce was cited as the result of “irreconcilable differences,” but Mowry said that her decision was ultimately influenced by her treatment and the deaths of family members.
