The 21st season of NCIS began broadcasting new episodes Friday night.

In the first episode, Special Agent Nick Torres was discussed extensively. On the other hand, Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, my favourite character, will be the focus of this week’s episode.

In September 2023, actor David McCallum of John Mallard passed away. Everyone believed that the show would eventually honour him as a result.

McCallum portrayed Dr. Mallard, an NCIS historian who was formerly the organization’s chief medical examiner. He appeared in every one of the show’s 20 seasons, but his appearances decreased as Danielle Fish’s character, Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), gained prominence.

When David McCallum passed away, executive producers of NCIS Steven D. Binder and David North said, “For more than 20 years, David McCallum entertained people all over the world by playing Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, a smart, strange, and sometimes mysterious character.”

While David was adored by his fans, his coworkers thought even more of him. Working with him from the beginning was an honour, and he consistently gave it his all. Undoubtedly, he was a hero.

As the event came to a finish, Torres handed Parker his badge. After that, Palmer gives Parker a call.Palmer hears someone say, “Hey, slow down.”

Startled, Parker picks up the phone.

“What’s happening? Why is this taking place? All except McGee answer.

after seeing a preview of the upcoming episode, “The Stories We Leave Behind,” do we learn what’s going on. Ducky seemed to have suffered a terrible fate in that episode.

Despite NCIS’s sadness over Ducky’s passing, the upcoming episode, “The Stories We Leave Behind,” centres on a lady whose father was dishonourably discharged from the Marines. As they work on one of Ducky’s unfinished investigations, the agents find solace.

As they work on one of Ducky’s unresolved cases, they will recall Ducky and the actor who played him in the next episode, which was written with EP Scott Williams.

It’s not just a compilation of vintage Ducky video either—the aesthetic was intended to remain faithful to NCIS. Dietzen claims that their goal was to provide a situation that resonated with the concept of losing a valuable team member.
We so came up with the idea that, after we pass away, the stories we leave behind are what really count. Our loved ones are the most significant people in our lives.

Whether any former cast members, such as Gibbs or Abby, will appear in the programme has not been disclosed. We’ll check in again the following week.

Pack tissues, as this might become quite touching.
