Common and Jennifer Hudson are now prepared to openly announce their romance after months of speculation.
When Common appears as a guest on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on January 22, it’s likely that he will discuss his romantic relationships.
A scene from the episode that was posted on the program’s official Instagram account on January 21 features Hudson teasingly asking Common about romance.
“Mr. Common, let’s get down to business,” Hudson remarks in jest. Since I’m the host, I feel compelled to ask you this because it’s a question that people are always curious about. Do you have a partner?
The 51-year-old rapper giggles nervously, to the screams and cheers of the audience.
He answers, “So, yeah.” Additionally, I’m in a relationship with one of the most stunning individuals I’ve ever laid eyes on.”
As he goes on to mention particular attributes that verify he is praising the singer and Academy Award-winning actor, the audience cheers.
“She is intelligent. She is devoted to God. There’s something genuinely grounded about her. She is gifted. But because she needed to win an EGOT, I kind of raised my bar,” he continues. “Her first film had to be an Oscar winner. I have great expectations for myself. She needed to have a talk show of her own.
Hudson, 42, responded, “Oh, OK,” then endearingly giggled before the video stopped after hearing him compliment her.
On January 22, Common spoke about his reaction to Hudson’s query during an interview on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.
He remarked, “It’s great to be on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show,’ and we had a little fun.” “I thought to myself, why not just be true to who I am and who we are, with love and honesty? It was pleasant to feel.
He continued by saying that he tends to be a private guy who keeps some things “sacred.”

Common laughed before responding to Hoda Kotb’s questions on if he’s the “marrying type” and whether his present relationship could be the “one.”
“I think I’ve changed, and the self-work I’ve done has helped me realise that I’m the marrying type. I am the kind of person who, should the need arise in the future, would know when it is appropriate to do it since I am capable and have the potential to do so.
“Everything is divine to me,” he continued. “I operate based on the discernment that God speaks; if He speaks to your stomach and you sense it in your heart and spirit, then I will speak with that person and, if she is experiencing the same thing, then why not?”
