When Remayah Hernandez, age five, was out riding her bike with her sister, she came across Tank, the neighbor’s labrador. Tank was a friendly dog. The terrified screams that Remayah let out alerted not only her mother but also their pit bull, Trigger, who was also part of the family. Trigger was in the backyard of the family’s house when he defied his training and climbed over the fence to get to Remayah in time to save her. Tank, who was ultimately injured as a result of the attack, was subsequently taken away by animal control to be put down.
