Celebrated actor David McCallum, who was best remembered for his parts in “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and “NCIS,” died away recently at the age of 90. Following his passing, fans and other actors celebrated his extraordinary career and long impact with an outpouring of condolences.

But what came next was nothing less than Bronson’s cryptic warning. Taking a close look at McCallum, he said, “You should give your wife more time.” If not, I’ll take her away from you.” McCallum was not entirely aware of the seriousness of Bronson’s remarks at the time.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her,” Charles Bronson reassured McCallum, who was worried about leaving Jill after her loss. McCallum reflected on that time later. I was unaware that they had already started dating.”
McCallum experienced hardships throughout their divorce from Jill, especially because they had three children together. But things changed, and McCallum fell in love with Katherine Carpenter once more. After having two more children, Peter and Sophie, they were wed for 56 years until McCallum’s untimely death. Jill remained with Charles Bronson in the meantime until her own death in 1990 at the age of 54.
Even though McCallum had difficulties in his personal life, he is best known for his outstanding contributions to the entertainment business. After Mark Harmon left the hit series “NCIS” in season 19, he played Chief Medical Examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard for all 20 seasons, making him the final original cast member.
David McCallum valued his family beyond anything else in his last years. He said he wanted to spend more time with Nickie, his cat, his wife, their kids, and their six grandchildren. His devotion to his family was unshakable, and he cherished every chance he had to spend time with his grandchildren.
