On Tuesday, the 55-year-old actor posted a beautiful birthday greeting for his younger brother Dixon along with a photo carousel that included a silly picture of the two of them.
On her birthday, “To my lovely younger sister, @frequency11 ‘D’:” “You are the valiant lionesses, you are the heroic lionesses,” Foxx lauded the lionesses. And without you, I wouldn’t be here… My life was literally saved by the decisions you made.
He wished his sister a happy birthday by saying, “I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis,” and he urged her admirers to swipe left to view more photographs.
Foxx’s younger sister DeOndra Dixon died on October 19, 2020, at the age of 36.
Since his health issue on July 22, Foxx has only made one video appearance; as a result, Tuesday’s post is the first on his Instagram grid in three months.
The Oscar winner thanks his sister and daughter Corinne Foxx in the video for giving him “protection” while he was ill.
As Foxx recounted, “he credited his sister Deidra Dixon and his daughter Corinne Marie for saving his life” following the medical emergency he experienced on April 11 while filming in Atlanta.
I am able to leave you with this video today “thanks to God and many wonderful doctors and nurses.” And you all know they kept it airtight, didn’t let anything out, the actor said. I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful it is to have your family step up like that. They protected me, and I wish everyone could enjoy such a luxury.
In a brand-new video, the Back in Action actor explains why he stayed silent about his near-hospitalization experience.
Foxx claimed, “I went through something I thought I would never ever go through. To be completely honest, “I know a lot of people were waiting and you know wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you I just didn’t want you to see me like that man.”
He also took a moment to clear the air on rumors that had been circulating about his health due to his family’s caution.
The actor said, “Now you know by being quiet sometimes things you know get out of hand,” in reference to allegations that he was “blind” and “paralyzed,” both of which were unfounded.
But I nevertheless did it. According to Foxx, “I went to hell and back.” Additionally, there were hiccups along the way to my rehabilitation. But I’ll be back. I also have a job that I can do.
