After hearing that the ‘House of Payne’ actress Cassi Davis had died at the age of 58 from lung cancer, Tyler Perry is putting an end to the rumours that she has passed away.
On Monday, the director addressed the rumour on Instagram to dispel it and reassure his audience that Davis is, in fact, doing fine.
On top of a screenshot of the news article, he annotated it with the words “THIS IS A LIE” written in bold red text.
After receiving a number of phone calls offering condolences, Perry mentioned that he had just finished a conversation over the phone with the actress from “House of Payne.”
“After receiving a number of phone calls from people expressing their condolences for whatever reason, and not understanding what they were talking about, I was forwarded this article that’s currently making the rounds.”
“I don’t understand how it’s possible that nobody informed either her or me that she had passed away. So I gave her a call and asked her if she had passed away, and she emphatically denied it. When speaking words of death over a child of God, whoever is responsible for this better be careful, said Perry. “Can whoever is responsible for this please stop you?”
You are causing a lot of pain for a lot of people by hurting this woman who is loved by millions. Cassi is doing well and is living her best life without any concerns, worries, social media, or other forms of drama. She is currently waiting to begin filming the upcoming season of House of Payne.
