Zendaya will advance “more than she did in less time,” according to Halle Berry.
Zendaya, a rising talent, was recently praised by Halle Berry as the future of entertainment.
Berry claims that Zendaya is the face of Hollywood’s future in an interview with Variety for their ‘Up Next’ series.
The Oscar winner believes Zendaya’s career, which is only getting started, and the recognition and prizes she has already garnered at such a young age are just the beginning for the Spider-Man: No Way Home actress.
Halle Berry discusses Zendaya’s achievements and prospects
Berry expresses faith in Zendaya’s ability to forge on, saying, “She’s going to write, direct, and go further than I did in less time.”
For her role in HBO’s Euphoria, Zendaya has already won an Emmy, making her the youngest person ever to do so.
Berry continued by complimenting Zendaya’s acting skills, adding, “She’s brave, not afraid to take chances, authentic and wildly beautiful,” to which Halle added. She doesn’t fear being unattractive. She strikes me as an actress who will struggle to surpass her beauty. She doesn’t depend on it. She will take chances as she works hard as an actor. I believe she will continue to astound us.
Halle Berry’s perspective on the young people
Berry left her stamp on the film industry and is eager to watch the next generation of black actors make strides in the profession. In that regard, she considers Zendaya to be a leader. Berry expressed her views on the following generation, saying:
I have faith that the generations following me will be able to pick up the ball I leave for them and carry it even further.
Zendaya, like Berry, is motivated to use her talents to increase diversity and visibility. Her statement from earlier this year was, “If I ever do become a filmmaker, I know that the leads of my films will always be black women.”
