When the producers of “The View” called Riley Gaines on to “set the record straight,” they undoubtedly had Whoopi Goldberg in mind when they did so, thinking that she would have a field day with Gaines.
They were completely wrong. Ms. Gaines participated in the show from a remote location and explained to the audience what it was like to lose against a biological male who was twice her size.
Whoopi interrupted her before she could even get three lines out and yelled, “Just admit you’re a bigot who wants to get rich riding on Lia Thomas’ coattails.” Gaines, who first appeared to be rather hesitant and quiet, soon transformed into the tough competitor that we are all familiar with and threw some shade at Whoopi.

Whoopi finally uttered an apology after a few moments of standing there with her mouth gaping open. “I’m sorry,” was all she could muster in response.
Then she apologised and said, “I’m sorry…What, child? Did you just tell a black woman from New York how challenging it is to be you? You and your sweetheart finished tied for fifth. You aspire to follow in Tomi Lahren’s footsteps. Your eyes are much too close together, hun. Please spread them apart.
Gaines immediately responded to his opponent without skipping a beat. She shrieked, “Oh yeah?” and then added, “Well, you don’t even care about women!” Without a shadow of a doubt, it was a miraculous time for her. Riley Gaines, may God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.
