The Fast and Furious actor, who was only 40 years old when he perished in a car accident in 2013, was best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in the popular television series.
Walker’s brother Cody Walker and his wife Felicia gave birth to their third child on Sunday (April 30), and they named him Paul Barrett (“Bear”) Walker in honor of Walker. Walker passed away almost ten years ago, but his memory continues to live on.
On May 5, Felicia posted the first photograph of her newborn boy to Instagram. In the photo, the infant is being held by his older brother, Colt Knox Walker, who is two years old.

Cody gave an interview to PEOPLE in which he discussed the meaning of the name he chose for his son and said the following: “This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I just felt now was the appropriate time.”
“Both my brother Caleb and I are finished having children at this point. My second brother’s name was Paul William Walker IV, and our family has been using that name for the past four generations,” the first brother said.
“Despite the fact that he swiftly surpassed our father in height, we nevertheless referred to him as “little Paul” or “Paul 4” inside the family. He went on to say that “it was important to me to have that name continue on.”
Meadow Rain Walker, Walker’s only child, followed in her father’s footsteps by appearing in a cameo part in the Fast and Furious sequel, Fast X. She is continuing the family legacy.
In an interview with E! News, the actor Vin Diesel, who is most known for his role as Dominic Toretto, discussed the special appearance and stated, “I am proud of the fact that she so beautifully wants to honor her father.”
The next thing he said was, “As a father, we hope that our children will want to honor us in that way,” and he went on to say that this was their hope. In reference to what Paul might have been thinking about the circumstances, he stated, “I think he’s smiling.”
“I believe that he is happy while he watches her perform. I believe that he is smiling not just at her performance but also at the fact that what he and I dreamed of – which was bringing a narrative to a 10th chapter – and to experience this love, the cherry on top is the fact that his daughter [has] a cameo,” he added.
Due to the fact that the late actor passed away as a result of injuries incurred in the high-speed collision, his brothers stepped in to function as his stand-ins and body doubles for the seventh installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise. Cody also had the opportunity to catch up with the franchise’s stars while attending the annual FuelFest music and automobile festival, which he helped organize.
The event will take place on June 3 at the Irwindale Speedway in California, and a portion of the funds earned will be donated to Reach Out Worldwide, a charity that Walker created. Cody has recently assumed the role as CEO.
Cody expressed to PEOPLE that he saw the charitable organization “as a part of Paul that he left behind,” and he went on to say, “It’s important to so many to see that part of his legacy live on.”
