Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has given followers their first look at family life since Prince Harry, Meghan, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, relocated to Britain.
The couple arrived privately from California to Birmingham on August 26. They remain non-working members of the royal family. Harry is expected to spend more time with UK charities and the Invictus community ahead of the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
Meghan continues her work with As Ever. They have kept their Montecito home and a Portugal property; their UK home and the children’s school have not been publicly identified.
The move appears driven in part by the children. Harry had previously spoken with singer Joss Stone about British schools, community, and a sense of belonging. A July visit included time with King Charles at Highgrove and a trip to Althorp.
Reports said some Cotswolds-area schools sent parents letters asking families not to photograph or post about other children, citing a desire for a “safe, happy and private environment.” Page Six reported the warning was not from the school Archie and Lilibet attend.
On September 13, Meghan posted a 35-second Instagram video of a countryside outing: Harry and Meghan walking hand in hand, Lilibet on a bicycle with a toy near the handlebars, Archie running ahead, a wooden boat with fishing rods, muddy walks, a campfire, and the family dogs Pula and Mia. The clip was marked with a Union Jack and a heart.
What viewers talked about most was Archie’s voice. He can be heard calling “Go! Go!” Some listeners said he sounded British. Others noted Lilibet was not wearing a helmet and that a doll was in a seat on her bike.
The reaction is not entirely new. In March 2025, Meghan told The Drew Barrymore Show that Archie and Lilibet have “very American accents” but sometimes use British pronunciations — she cited “z-e-b-r-a” — in ways that remind her of Harry. Archie was born in London in 2019 before the family moved to California in 2020; Lilibet was born in California in 2021.
On September 15, Meghan marked Harry’s 42nd birthday — his first in Britain in several years — with an Instagram tribute: “He’s simply the best. Happy birthday, my love.” The post included previously unseen family moments and a countryside drive.
Together, the posts show a private family chapter in Britain, with the children at the center and the details of daily life still closely guarded.
