Celebrity romances are short-lived. Hollywood marriage anniversaries are infrequent, making them extra meaningful.

When they met on the set of Family Ties, Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan surely didn’t think their off-screen love would outlast that of their characters, 19-year-old teen Alex and brainy dancer Ellen Reed.

Parkinson’s disease struck Michael J. Fox in his late 20s. He and Tracy had just married and had their first child.
Tracy supports her spouse. They’re trying to cope with Michael’s illness and raise money for Parkinson’s research.

The couple’s four children—Esme, 20, Aquinnah and Schuyler, 27-year-old identical twins, and Sam, 33—live quieter lives than their parents. Only Sam has a public Instagram account where he posts images of his dad and family, and he looks like Michael.

Michael’s children always support him and attend important Parkinson’s disease awareness activities.

These family reminds each other of their love on every occasion, which we love.
Michael wrote, “Twice the love, a hundred times the laughs,” on a photo of his twins. My beautiful girls’ birthdays are today. I adore you.”

Michael described his family’s move to Long Island during the COVID-19 outbreak. “We were usually linger-after-dinner types, and suddenly we were talking what people were going through. Putting together jigsaw puzzles, watching Tracy cook, and talking to guests like these amazing youngsters and this terrific lady. I struggle to accept my life.”

Michael’s children shared heartbreaking news. Michael’s mother, Phyllis Piper, died in September 2022. 92.
Michael

joked that his mother thought he shouldn’t have filmed Back to the Future because he was filming Family Ties during the day.

“Until two weeks ago, my mum thought Back to the Future was a poor concept. “She adored the movie, but she was right—I grew sleepy,” Michael added.

This lovely family deserves the best.
