Twitter responds differently to Jay-Z’s comparison of Beyoncé to Michael Jackson.
It appears that Jay-Z’s comparison of wife singer Beyonce to the late music icon Michael Jackson has not gone over well with Twitter fans.
Jay-Z drew the contentious connection while appearing in an Alicia Keys-hosted Twitter Space to promote her album “KEYS.”
“Beyoncé is going to be upset with [me] for stating this, but Michael Jackson never attended Coachella,” he remarked, going on to call her “an evolution” of the “Thriller” superstar.
“Because she watched him at nine,” he remarked, before continuing, “the kids are the same.” Find me a concert that is both exhilarating and culturally significant, similar to Coachella. Because she is such a student, Beyoncé is going to be one of the best vocalists we have ever heard.
Beyoncé has made comparisons to Michael Jackson previously. For instance, Charlamagne Tha God declared in 2015 that she was the best performer of her generation. After all, there was Michael Jackson in the preceding generation. But I believe Beyoncé is the best of our generation.
But Beyoncé will undoubtedly reach the same level, if she hasn’t already. She’ll be held in the same, if not greater, regard than Michael Jackson.
That is the simple reality of the situation. People find that offensive, but you’ll see later. It will undoubtedly occur.
