Oh my! Dear readers, Joe Biden, the president, has made the decision to not run for president in 2024.

President Biden formally declared his intention to withdraw from the reelection contest on Sunday, July 21.

The politician shared the news in a thorough statement on X (previously Twitter), formally confirming that he will not be running for office on the Democratic ticket in 2024.

“Serving as your President has been the greatest honor of my life. Even though I had intended to run for reelection, I think it would be better for my party and the nation if I stepped down and concentrated just on carrying out my presidential duties for the balance of my term. Later this week, I will provide more details about my choice in a speech to the Nation,” Biden stated.

Along with expressing gratitude to the American people for their support during his president, Biden also acknowledged Vice President Kamala Harris for her important role as his running mate.

For the time being, allow me to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has put up so much effort to see me reelected. Vice President Kamala Harris has been an amazing collaborator on all of this effort, and I am grateful for that.

And allow me to convey to the people of America my sincere gratitude for their confidence and trust in me. I still think the same thing I always have: that when we work together, there is nothing America can’t do. Biden went on, “We simply need to keep in mind that we are the United States of America.”

According to CNBC, Biden made his decision in response to mounting pressure from Democrats and well-known figures like George Clooney, who urged him to withdraw in favor of a different candidate to go on Republican Donald Trump.
As soon as Biden made his announcement, the crowd responded on The Shade Room’s Instagram report in the comments area.

This is how people responded.

@styleandpoise posted on Instagram, saying, “Man, I knew this was going to happen.” I thought he would have taken this action sooner to give the Democratic Party time to familiarize itself with the new candidate and gather support. I worry that the democratic vote will be split over this decision. I do hope I’m mistaken.
