Whoopi Goldberg recently discussed the difficult period she went through when she “flirted” with the thought of taking her own life.

When Goldberg appeared on Anderson Cooper’s “All There Is” programme, she was questioned about a specific passage from her upcoming memoir, “Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me.” Goldberg is most known for her iconic role as Deloris Van Cartier in the 1990s classic Sister Act.

Sadly, the well-known CNN reporter perused a few depressing passages from the book concerning the passing of the 68-year-old woman’s mother, Emma Harris, who suffered a stroke in 2010 and passed away.

“It’s not like they could have stopped me from dying, but every once in a while I wonder, ‘Why did you all leave me here?'” is written in one section of the book.

But the celebrity claimed to know the solution, saying, “We have stuff we gotta get done.”

Goldberg went on to say that she had “flirted” with the thought of ending her life.

“And I once flirted, once flirted with, thinking about leaving,” Goldberg stated. “Then I questioned, ‘How?'” To do something to my child would be wrong, especially if they think well of me.

The well-known individual continued by expressing her affection for her daughter Alexandrea “Alex” Martin Dean. Along with her spouse, she raised “three fine, very bizarre children,” and she was described as a “fine woman” and a “really good person” by the speaker.
