La La Anthony has taken to various social media platforms in order to commemorate her son Kiyan’s 16th birthday. The elated mother posted a touching video on Instagram that was set to the tune of Jhené Aiko’s song “Promises,” and it featured a variety of photos that she had taken of her son over the course of his life. La La expressed her gratitude to her son, referring to him as her best friend as well as her son, and praising his selfless and generous nature, as well as his perseverance and commitment to pursuing his goals. She also thanked God on a daily basis for the privilege of being his mother and expressed her pride in being his parent.
Kiyan Anthony’s father, Carmelo Anthony, also wished their son a happy birthday via social media. In his post, Carmelo wrote that nothing makes him happier than watching Kiyan develop into the person he was always destined to be.
It is important to note that La La just recently commented on how Kiyan watches out for her dating life and how protective he is of her. In January, while La La was a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she revealed that Kiyan is not a fan of her going out on dates and that he is very protective of her. La La went on to say that Kiyan is not a fan of her going out on dates because he is very protective of her. She even made a joke about how living under Kiyan’s watchful eye makes her feel as though she needs to sneak around the house just like she did when she lived with her father.
