Over $70,000 Is Raised by an Eight-Year-Old Boy for a Waffle House Server Who Is Living in a Motel
An uplifting account has surfaced regarding a young boy from Little Rock, Arkansas, who is only eight years old but has already managed to raise more than $70,000 for the Waffle House worker who serves him, Devonte Gardner. After making numerous trips to the Waffle House in their neighbourhood with his family, the youngster, Kayzen Hunter, was able to become acquainted with Devonte. They cheered each other on with high fives and jokes, and Devonte, who was always courteous to everyone, prepared Kayzen’s customary breakfast of hash browns and eggs every time.
After moving out of their apartment, which was infested with rats and contaminated with black mould, Devonte and Kayzen moved into a motel, where Kayzen discovered that Devonte was living. With the funds that have been raised, Devonte will be able to relocate his family into a secure apartment with one bedroom and also buy a car so that he can get to and from work.
