Tuesday, May 27, marks the commencement of week three in the federal criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. As previously reported, Combs is facing charges of racketeering and two counts of sex trafficking. Additionally, he’s also facing two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, the 55-year-old could spend up to 15 years or life in prison.

Week one of the federal trial marked the start of explosive testimonies, with Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, testifying about their relationship and abuse she allegedly endured at his hands. Meanwhile, week two brought continued revelations with Cassie’s mom, Regina Ventura, and the singer’s 3x, Kid Cudi, taking the stand. Furthermore, throughout it all, jurors saw evidence photos, and a male escort, who reportedly goes by the name of “The Punisher,” testified to his alleged “freakoff” experiences with Diddy and Cassie. Lastly, former employees of Diddy have also said their piece on working for the mogul.

According to CNNCapricorn Clark, the former director of marketing for Diddy, was called to the stand as the first witness on Tuesday, May 27. Per the outlet, Clark is the 17th witness called in the trial. Furthermore, Clark testified to beginning her music career with an internship at Def Jam Records. Afterward, she worked for Death Row Records before starting her time at Bad Boy Entertainment around 2004.

Around 2006, Clark briefly left her position before returning to work for Diddy as his “director of marketing for Sean John Women’s.” In 2008, she became the brand’s global director. Furthermore, it was after an event with a Queens-bred rapper and Diddy that reportedly told the pair he had an issue with the lyricist.

“‘I don’t do that; I like guns,’” Clark recalled Diddy’s specific words to be.

Additionally, she noted that his demeanor appeared very serious.

However, Clark was allegedly left with one of his security guards, who searched her apartment and locked her in a vacant space where she was given a lie detector test.

“..They’re going to throw you into the East River,” she says a man told her as he administered the test.

In turn, Clark says she was “petrified.”

“I couldn’t calm down,” she recalled.

Per Clark, she was taken to the location for five straight days as the test went on. Afterward, she says, Diddy never mentioned the jewelry or her time away from work. To this date, she’s unsure if the item was ever found.

Diddy reportedly traveled with a toiletry bag of drugs, a camera box with four small cameras, a small bottle of baby oil, and a small bottle of lubricant. Additionally, Clark noted bringing candles for Diddy’s trips and stays.

Afterward, Clark noted that she would “sweep” the room for any items left behind. Specifically, she noted seeing “handprints” left in oil.

Clark says she developed stress-induced alopecia, or hair loss, from her time working for Combs. Her work day typically ended around 4 a.m., and it allegedly left her without meal breaks. Additionally, she said Combs would threaten her job if she missed any tasks.

On a good night, she says, she was able to get four hours of sleep. Additionally, before her time with Combs ended, she was reportedly owed $80,000 in three months of overtime pay.

To date, she has reportedly never received the compensation.

Furthermore, on a trip to France in 2006, Clark says Diddy asked her to get cocaine for him. He allegedly did not disclose who the drugs were for when asked the question by Clark. Additionally, she says she would obtain prescription drugs for Diddy — some prescribed in his name and some prescribed in her name.

Per Clark, in the summer of 2006, she was working with Diddy in Miami. During the trip, she was reportedly told by him that her “problem” was that she wanted to have a life while working for him. But she couldn’t “have that here.”

Furthermore, she recalled telling Diddy’s chef that she “hated it” there, and the chef relayed the info to Combs.

“He immediately looked at me and said, ‘You hate it here?’ and he charged me,” Clark testified.

She alleged Diddy pushed her about 30 yards with 75% of his force and demanded she leave his house. One of Diddy’s security guards reportedly intervened in the matter. Afterward, she reportedly left working with Diddy.

Like Cassie’s former makeup artist, Clark testified to Diddy “controlling” every aspect of the singer’s physical appearance and career opportunities. To note, in 2011, Clark reportedly managed the singer as her creative director.

Additionally, Clark recalled becoming aware of Cassie’s romance with Kid Cudi that year. She said that she, Cassie, and Cudi would sometimes hang out together. However, she was “very concerned” about Diddy finding out about Cassie and Cudi’s time together. To seemingly aid in Cassie keeping her ties with Cudi private, Clark says she took Cassie to Best Buy to purchase a burner cellphone.

To note, CNN reports that, thus far, Clark’s voice has noticeably been “quivering” during her time on the stand.

Furthermore, one day in December 2011, Clark says, Diddy allegedly showed up at her home, “banging on her door.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked her, referring to Cassie and Kid Cudi. Additionally, he was allegedly holding a gun. “Get dressed, we’re going to go kill him.”

Per Clark, Diddy was “livid, furious, mad at [her].”

“I had never seen him with a weapon, I had never seen him making me do something like this,” she said.

Afterward, they reportedly drove to Cudi’s home. Once they arrived, she stayed in the car to call Cassie and alert her to Diddy being in Cudi’s home.

“‘He’s in my house?’” the rapper could be heard saying in the background.

Clark allegedly tried to persuade Cassie not to let Cudi return to the home. However, Cudi later arrived and accelerated away from the home as Diddy followed in pursuit. The incident “felt like forever, but couldn’t have been longer than a minute,” she said.

After the incident, Clark says, Cassie returned to Combs’ Los Angeles rental home with her.

“[He] immediately began kicking Cassie,” Clark testified.

Clark and a security guard reportedly watched the incident unfold.

Additionally, she says, Combs threatened her if she intervened.

“Please help her. I can’t call the police, but you can,” Clark reportedly told Cassie’s mom during a call she made while leaving the residence.

To note, Clark says afterward, Diddy told her and Cassie:

“I should kill you b*tches, and I should cut her face.”

Afterward, he reportedly forbade Clark and Cassie from being friends.

Lastly, Clark testified to being one of the individuals Cassie included when she emailed her mother, Regina, admitting to the abuse by Diddy. Additionally, she says, she informed Harve Pierre, former president of Bad Boy, about the kidnapping incident and the incident involving Cudi and Cassie.

“That’s crazy, but it’s going to be OK,” Pierre reportedly told her.

Per Clark, she did not share a statement with authorities about the Cudi incident, or his car being arsoned, because she just “wanted this whole thing to be over.”

Clark says she was fired from her position while on vacation in 2012. The news had reportedly came after she informed another employee that Diddy “was mad at her because she ‘didn’t tell him his girlfriend was cheating on him.’”

Diddy reportedly told her:

“That I would never work again, that he would show me that all these people weren’t my friends, that he would make me kill myself,” she said.

She reportedly received a wrongful termination settlement in the fall of 2012. Per the outlet, Clark did not testify to the amount she received in the settlement.

However, in 2016, Clark returned to work for Diddy as Cassie’s creative director. She reportedly had a hard time finding other work. During this time as Cassie’s director, she reportedly noticed an increase in Cassie’s drug use. In 2018, Clark ended her business dealings with Diddy for good.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo begins cross-examination of Clark, confirming with her that they previously met during a meeting in April 2024. In the meeting, Agnifilo says, Clark stated that Diddy “wouldn’t be in this mess if he had kept [her] around.” Additionally, they reportedly discussed the possibility of her returning to work for Diddy. During the meeting, Clark allegedly said it would be impossible for her to be rehired due to the ongoing investigation into Combs, Agnifilio alleges. Clark said she didn’t recall sharing those sentiments at the meeting.

Per CNN, the lawyer accused Clark of texting Diddy in 2021, writing, “Did you ever know that I had the biggest crush on you before I started to work for you?… We hung out all the time, I played it super cool. I don’t think you knew. I just knew for sure that you liked to have me around.”

Clark could not recall the texts but admitted to contacting Diddy in 2021. Per the outlet, the lawyer did not share how Combs responded to the alleged messages.

Capricorn Clark took the stand again following a court break and spoke to lead defense Marc Agnifilo about her interpretation of Cassie’s talents. She reportedly said, “She went from being a sweet model to being a feisty girlfriend.”

Clark said that the singer was more of a “studio musician” who needed “things equalized.” Defense asked whether Diddy supported Cassie’s career, and Clark replied that he did with “all components to make her a star,” sometimes even more than others.

As far as the break-in at Kid Cudi’s house, she doubled down under questioning that Diddy forced her into going, and she didn’t want to be there. She also clarified earlier testimony to the prosecution that he had pointed the weapon at her. To Diddy’s defense, she said he “waved it around,” adding that the description is “more correct.”

Despite the kidnapping of Cudi’s home, Clark confirmed she continued to work for Bad Boy Records.

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 10: Clark Says She Felt Like Diddy’s Protector

Marc Agnifilo continued to paint Clark’s efforts to remain close to Diddy, despite the alleged kidnapping of Cudi’s house and threats to her life. The lawyer shared emails and messages from her to Combs, asserting that she wanted to continue working together. In a September 2014 message, she said, “One day you’ll forgive me…Anyway, be well.” An email less than a year later, in February 2015 said: “Your grace period to be mad at me has surpassed the agreed time LOL.”

Clark got emotional when Attorney Agnifilo asked whether a shady email about an unnamed woman was about Cassie. The message from then said, “She was never my friend. She wanted me gone, I realized.” On the stand, Capricorn explained that the dynamic was complicated because she felt she was “Puff’s protector.”

She testified that Diddy ultimately forgave her, but she said she wrote the emails because she wanted to be friends again.
