The death of Clint Eastwood’s longtime partner has been announced to the public.
Christina Sandera, Clint Eastwood’s lifelong girlfriend, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 61. The Hollywood Reporter received a letter from the 94-year-old Eastwood expressing his thanks and regret for their time together, even if the cause of death was not disclosed.
Sandera was a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Over a decade had passed since the two started dating. While keeping their relationship a secret, the couple went to a number of Hollywood events together, including the 2015 Academy Awards.
Eastwood has three children from his two previous marriages to Dina Eastwood and model Maggie Johnson. He has five more children from past partnerships.
Eastwood stated, “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. The publication was notified by his counsel that there will be no additional discussion regarding Sandera’s passing at this time.
